Las Vegas is the most populous city in Nevada, and is a universally-renowned as an entertainment and vacation capital within the United States. Las Vegas was established in the early 20th century, and has grown exponentially since that time. Its geographic location makes it a frequent destination for Hispanic immigrants.
Given Las Vegas’ cultural makeup and reputation as an entertainment city, there are naturally several diversions that highlight Latin cultures. There are multiple Latin and Mexican Restaurants in Las Vegas, as well as unique cultural events, such as the Latino Short Film Festival, Latino Book and Family Festival, and the Las Vegas International Folk Festival and Dance Congress—truly a variety of ways to celebrate almost every aspect of Latino and Hispanic heritage.
Las Vegas’ diversity, Latino traditions, and opportunities are some of the many reasons children will benefit from learning more of the Spanish language and familiarizing themselves with the culture.
